Learn Japanese with fun stories
Rin & Tadashi is a YouTube channel that teaches Japanese with stories, folklore and curiosities. The Japanese N5 Speedrun is its free course: from zero to basic Japanese, 30 minutes a day.

Why “Speedrun”?
Not because you’ll learn Japanese in a week. Because there’s no filler: every minute of every level is there for a reason. The video is the class; the homework here is the rest of the course.
Why a metro map?
Because learning a language is a trip you take one stop at a time. The course is six lines, from the Onigiri Line to the Fuji Line. Every level is a station, every gate is a transfer with a guardian checking your ticket, and the last stop is the Dragon Gate, 竜門 (ryūmon). Climbing it, 登竜門 (tōryūmon), is the Japanese word for “the gateway to success” — and our metro lines are named after it.
